Privacy Policy

Houston Career Institute

We recognize the importance of protecting your privacy and the information that you share with us. Described below is our policy on the collection, use, disclosure, maintenance, and protection of personal information that you provide to us through this website.

Notice at Collection

Updated October 25, 2026

Houston Career Institute collects the contact details you provide, including name, email, phone number and postal code; program interests, questions and inquiry or application information; and, when permitted, browser, device, campaign and website-interaction identifiers. We use this information to answer requests, provide admissions and student services, deliver requested communications, secure the website, understand website use and measure advertising results.

Admissions applications can also collect your mailing address, date of birth, the last four digits of a Social Security number, education details, financial-aid interest and application agreements. These support admissions processing. We do not use government-identifier details or sensitive application contents for advertising matching or targeting, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Where Advertising is permitted, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions and offline conversion imports may receive SHA-256-hashed email and phone identifiers with inquiry, qualified-lead or enrollment events to measure advertising results. Google matches these identifiers to Google accounts. HCI's configured Meta Conversions API and OpenAI advertising-conversion paths may likewise receive permitted event and matching data. Advertising events do not include full application answers, grades, financial-aid details or sensitive form contents. Hashes remain personal information, not anonymous data. Conversion measurement is distinct from uploading contact lists to advertising audiences; this notice does not itself authorize additional uses or enroll you in such an audience.

Recipients include our CRM, communications, hosting and security providers, including HubSpot, Supabase and Cloudflare, and the analytics and advertising providers described here where permitted. We do not sell contact lists for money. Sharing identifiers for cross-context advertising may constitute a sale or sharing under applicable state privacy laws. SMS opt-in records and consent are not advertising permission and are not transferred for another company's own marketing.

We retain inquiry and application records as needed to respond, manage admissions or student services, meet recordkeeping obligations and resolve disputes. The duration depends on the record, relationship and applicable requirements. Website privacy preferences last up to 180 days; analytics, security and provider records follow the applicable service's retention settings and legal requirements. Withdrawing tracking does not automatically delete submitted records or retract measurement events already delivered to a provider.

Verified U.S. visits may use the existing regional Analytics and Advertising defaults without an automatic banner. Your Privacy Choices lets you opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising, or change Analytics separately. We honor Global Privacy Control for Advertising in every region and preserve saved refusals; strict or unknown locations require opt-in. Visiting or submitting a form does not create tracking consent. The optional calls/texts checkbox does not authorize advertising measurement or audience matching.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, a copy, correction or deletion of your information, details about its use and disclosure, or an appeal of our response. Email privacy@mikhailed.com or write to Houston Career Institute, 9700 Bissonnet Street, Suite 1400, Houston, Texas 77036. Identify your request or appeal and provide enough information to locate the relevant records. We may verify identity for record-access, correction or deletion requests, but website advertising opt-outs do not require an account. Authorized agents may make requests where permitted. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights and respond within applicable legal time limits, subject to permitted exceptions. Browser choices apply to that browser; contact us about CRM records or another device that cannot be linked to it.

Collection of Information

The information that we collect from you through this website will vary depending upon how you use the website and what information you choose to provide. If you contact us via e-mail or submit an online request for information or to schedule a visit to one of our campuses, we will collect the information that you provide to us in your e-mail message or request, including your name, contact information, e-mail address and any questions or comments that you may submit.

We use necessary browser technology to keep the website, forms, security features, and your privacy preference working. Optional tracking choices depend on the verified regional policy: strict locations require opt-in, while the United States initially uses an opt-out default. Browsing, scrolling, navigating, or submitting a form never creates an explicit tracking choice.

When Analytics is permitted, HCI may use first-party measurement and approved analytics tools loaded through Google Tag Manager to understand page use and site interactions. Advertising is a separate choice for approved measurement and marketing tags. Global Privacy Control keeps Advertising off in every regional mode. Those tools may process browser and device information and may use cookies; such information should not be assumed to be completely anonymous. See our Cookie Policy for current categories, providers, and preference details.

When Analytics is permitted, HCI may summarize pre-submission page use and site interactions into internal engagement features used only to help admissions staff prioritize follow-up after a person requests information. These features do not include contact identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, or ZIP code, and they do not include raw advertising click IDs. They are not used to decide admission, financial aid, eligibility, or pricing, or to make an automated denial.

Cookies and Analytics Choices

In strict locations you may accept or reject optional tracking. In the U.S. you may keep regional-policy tracking on or opt out. Your Privacy Choices always lets you manage Analytics and Advertising separately. Withdrawing Analytics stops future Analytics collection and excludes Analytics-derived engagement features from future model-training exports, but it does not delete information you intentionally submitted or records collected before withdrawal. Chat, maps, fonts, videos, forms, security, links, and normal site functions are not controlled by these tracking choices.

Use of Information

If you send us any questions or comments by e-mail, we will use your e-mail address to respond to your questions or comments. If you submit an online request for information, we will use your name and contact information to process your request.

Distribution of Information

We may disclose aggregate information and share personal information with providers as described in the Notice at Collection above. Hashed identifiers used for advertising matching remain personal information; they are not anonymous. Advertising sharing is subject to your privacy choices and applicable restrictions.

Text messaging. If you opt in to text messages from Houston Career Institute, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or transfer SMS opt-in data or consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Communications providers may process mobile information to deliver and support HCI messages. The optional calls/texts checkbox does not authorize advertising measurement or audience matching. Separately, inquiry contact details may be shared in hashed form for advertising measurement only where Advertising is permitted, as described in the Notice at Collection. See our SMS Terms.
